Oliwa’s historic park is a long green avenue by the cathedral. Here is how to walk it with kids, where to play, and how it fits a Neptune day in Gdańsk.
Not the same as Długi Targ
Most visitors do Neptune on Długi Targ and never ride out to Oliwa. Park Oliwski is a different Gdańsk: a historic landscape park, cathedral, and a long axial walk. It is quieter, greener, and better for a picnic than the tourist core. Do not try to walk it from the Crane with a preschooler — use the SKM train to Oliwa.
Walking with a stroller
The main avenue is the easy part. Side paths and water features are prettier and less even. Shade is good along the trees. Toilets are more reliable near the cathedral / visitor side than at the far end of the park. Playgrounds in Oliwa are nearby rather than always inside the historic axis — pin the one you used so the map stays honest.

City Icons: photograph Neptune on Długi Targ first, while patience is high. Then SKM to Oliwa for the park. That is a full Gdańsk day without pretending the Long Market is a playground.
