Park Jordana is where Kraków families go to actually play — fields, play equipment, and a calmer alternative to the Old Town Planty loop.
Planty vs Jordana
The Planty ring around the Old Town is a walk, not a play session. Park Jordana, by Błonia and the AGH area, is the one with space to run, sports fields, and playgrounds. If you came to Kraków for Wawel Dragon photos, do the dragon at the castle, then ride or walk out to Jordana so children can move. Mixing Old Town sightseeing with “just one more church” is how park time disappears.
On the ground
Expect a mix of equipment, open grass, and seasonal kiosks. Shade is medium — some tree cover, some full sun on the fields. Toilets are better near the busier play clusters than on Błonia itself. Strollers handle the main alleys; sidetracks can be dusty in August. Fencing varies by play pocket, so stay close with toddlers.
