The “I need a toilet soon” city-centre park
Park Krakowski sits between Czarnowiejska, Szymanowskiego, al. Mickiewicza, and Plac Inwalidów — close enough to the tram network that you can bail from a museum morning without a long ride. It is smaller than Jordana (under five hectares), which is the point: you finish a play loop before anyone melts down. The renovated playground near ul. Szymanowskiego is the draw — towers, climbing, slides, boules, and a little water-discovery zone that gets muddy-happy toddlers. Paths are mostly flat asphalt, so a city stroller with small wheels works.
Toilet hours parents should actually check
Kraków’s accessibility list includes a staffed public toilet at Park Krakowski (Plac Inwalidów): roughly Monday–Friday 09:00–18:00 and Saturday–Sunday 10:00–16:00, with a platform for wheelchair access. That is earlier closing than Jordana’s evening hours, so do not plan a late Sunday swing session assuming the WC is still open. Shade under older trees is a real plus on hot days; benches face the play area so you can watch without standing. Pack a spare outfit if the water play is on — local parent blogs treat that as non-optional.
Pair it with Jordana or Old Town, not both at toddler pace
Use Park Krakowski as a compact central stop, then either tram toward Jordana/Błonia for a bigger run or head back toward the Planty toilets if you are sightseeing.
